Ultran has applied its technology for the quality control inspection of glass and carbon fiber reinforced manhole covers.  Composite manhole covers are a growing product, replacing steel manhole covers worldwide.

Ultran’s low frequency non-contact ultrasonic products are capable of detecting the following:

• Porosity
• High resin fill regions

Ultran successfully applied its technology to a US composite manhole manufacturing company for in-process quality control use.
