As part of its Phase I SBIR award from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, The Ultran Group has balloted a draft standard method for measuring the level of impregnation in prepreg composite material by using its non-contact ultrasonic (NCU) products. At the spring meeting for the ASTM D30 subcommittee (for composite materials), The Ultran Group will presents its process for determining the draft method as well as the method itself. This is a significant step towards setting an ASTM standard through the balloting process.

The presentation will be held in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah at 2:30 pm Mountain Time on Thursday, March 19, 2015. Below is link to the conference schedule, which includes Ultran’s presentation held during the constituent materials (D30.03) session.
